Sindi town parks
In the small town of Sindi, 47 hectares contain 23 parks; the largest green network of the town is connected to the River Pärnu. On its banks, you find Kirikupark, Sõpruse park and Dendropark. Older trees and several lanes in Kiriku, Vabriku, Hirveaia, Kooli and Klubi parks date from the middle and the second half of the 19th century.
First green area was established in 1834 after the broadcloth factory was completed. A trained gardener was among the specialists who arrived from abroad. The town plan determined the layout of buildings, roads and parks. Lindens that were brought from the Netherlands were planted into three lanes, and a three-hectare park was created.
