During the Pärnu Hanseatic Days 2026, the atmosphere of the Middle Ages will also reach Elisabeth Church. The Organ festival will present the organ together with the early music ensemble Ludus Permavia, which unites singers and instrumentalists associated with Pärnu.

The program focuses on the famous composer Dietrich Buxtehude from the Hanseatic city of Lübeck, whose organ works are closely associated with the large and magnificent North German organ type.The wealth of the Hanseatic cities played a decisive role in the development of organs, and the music created for them also breathes a noble Hanseatic spirit.
Festive organ opuses in the program alternate with ancient songs from the 13th century, from the repertoire of traveling musicians, describing the changing seasons and knightly romance, as well as Renaissance dance music from the collections of Th. Susato and M. Praetorius.
