Pärnu surf

There are many places to surf in Estonia, thanks to its long coastline and numerous islands, as well as several competitions are held here. Did you know that Pärnu is also a surf paradise? The magic words of this paradise involve the shallow, warm waters of the sandy seabed, suitable for both the novice surfer and the experienced kite-surfer. In addition, Pärnu is the summer capital of Estonia! Sunshine and excellent surf centres with cosy beach cafés along the central beach make water sports particularly enjoyable. Water sports for everyone

The above-mentioned warm and shallow water makes it possible for an inexperienced beach-goer to try paddle-surfing, or SUP-boarding. It is also suitable for youngsters, so you can take the whole family out on the water. Similarly, the skim-board is beginner-friendly. With windsurfing, you should definitely pass introductory training. Kite-surfing is a much more difficult and dangerous extreme sport than the others, but it is very popular worldwide.

Surf centres

On the edge of the central beach, there is a surf zone with surf centres. Both Aloha Surf Centre and Pärnu Surf Center offer equipment rental. Surf Center also has the only exclusive surf shop in Pärnu and it is open all year round. At both centres you will find a pleasant relaxation area with music and cafés offering both refreshments and cool drinks.

Both centres organise regular camps, training sessions, and workshops during the summer period. You can pass training in every conceivable surfing style, either alone or in a group. Some refreshing ideas to liven up a bachelor party, a birthday or a seminar:

If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Pärnu beach, we recommend you to head to the countryside and find Surfhunt near the edge of the pine forest. For a cosy getaway with surfing lessons on a quiet beach, you can also ask the hostess for accommodation.

During the summer period, Pärnu surfing area hosts concerts and beach parties fit for a small beach paradise. If the weather conditions are favourable, the Aloha Kite Challenge and Pärnu Surf Maraton will bring together a large number of surfers, who will enjoy themselves at Pärnu Bay.
