Vana-Pärnu birdwatching tower

There is an 8-metre birdwatching tower in the Vana-Pärnu meadow on the border of the river and the sea. You can see more than 100 different bird species here in different seasons and the area is particularly rich in birds from April to October. You can see birds in the reeds, on the coastal meadow and the sea from the tower.
The tower also offers an interesting view of the mouth of the Pärnu River, the piers and the long sandy beach of the city. The distance from the car park to the tower is about 1 kilometre and there is also a good beach for swimming nearby. It is a great destination for a long walk or cycling trip as you will also see the lovely little streets of Vana-Pärnu on your way.
