A century and a half ago, women in T\u00f5stamaa knitted gloves with fine yarn and needles. The gloves were adorned with red embroidered patterns. In this workshop, you will learn the traditional T\u00f5stamaa handicraft technique – roosimine inlay knitting. The embroidered patterns contain the beliefs, values, and stories of our ancestors \u2013 small, patterned memories that carry forward the strength and identity of our roots.<\/p>\n
Under the guidance of T\u00f5stamaa’s masters, you can learn this ancient technique and knit a lovely embroidered pincushion for yourself. The knitting uses fine 1.5 mm needles and 7\/2 yarn, so each stitch is created with care and attention.\u00a0<\/p>\n
