Voltveti mõisa kohta on esimesi teateid 1563. aastast. Mõisa hilisklassitsistlikus stiilis härrastemaja valmis 1830 ja seda ilmestab nelja toskaana sambaga portikus laia trepiga. 1925. aastal alustas majas tegevust Voltveti metsakool, hiljem Pärnumaa Kutsehariduskeskuse Tihemetsa õppekoht. Hoonele ehitati juurde kolmas korrus ja tiibhoone. See on hoone tervikpilti ja elegantsi oluliselt vähendanud, kuid omal ajal üks Pärnumaa esinduslikum mõisahoone tasub kindlasti üle vaadata! Mõisa ümbritseb park, milles on 150 erinevat liiki puid ja nende hulgas leidub palju haruldasi liike.
