Pärnu tänases bussijaamas võite ootamatult kohata hoopis rongi! Nimelt otsustati Eesti esimese, Pärnu-Valga kitsarööpmelise raudtee avamise 110. juubeli puhul 2006. aastal ajalooline paik tähistada. Pärnu südalinnas asunud reisijaama asukohale paigaldati 1911. aastal Saksamaal O. & Koppeli firmas ehitatud auruvedur ning 1913. aastal St. Peterburgis Arthur Koppeli firmas ehitatud platvormvagun.
Huvitav teada! Kesklinna raudtee suleti 1972. aastal, täna asub raudteejaam kesklinnast väljas Riia mnt lähedal. Tundes raudtee ajaloo vastu suuremat huvi, külasta Lavassaare Muuseumraudteed!
