Maria Farm \u2013 an experience-filled stay with horses<\/h3>

Maria Farm, located in K\u00f5pu village in P\u00e4rnu County, is a great place to combine active holidays with peaceful relaxation. The scenic surroundings offer opportunities for hiking in forests and bogs, as well as walks by the sea. You can also come as a larger group. Maria Farm is suitable for weddings and seminars, and accommodation is also available on site.<\/p>

Maria Farm is a horse breeding centre and equestrian centre, where you can go horse- riding and take part in riding tours. Carriage and sleigh rides can be arranged upon request. T\u00f5stamaa Handicraft Centre, Handicraft Shop and Exhibition Room<\/h3>

Gloves knitted in the traditional T\u00f5stamaa roosimine, or inlay knitting, technique, along with handmade folk costumes, tell the story of the region\u2019s history. Established through community initiative, the T\u00f5stamaa Handicraft Centre is a place where heritage lives on and where visitors can learn traditional handicraft techniques.<\/p>

When you arrive in T\u00f5stamaa, you will find the T\u00f5stamaa Handicraft Shop and Exhibition Room, where you can buy local products \u2013 gloves knitted in the roosimine technique, wrist warmers, linen textiles, woollen knitwear, rag rugs, ceramics, local delicacies, and postcards with T\u00f5stamaa patterns that you can send all over the world.<\/p>

If you have more time, you can attend the workshops offered at the Handicraft Centre, where you can knit a needle pad or cuffs using the roosimine technique, make a traditional bridal tassel, braid a garter from yarn or sew yourself a knitting needle bag. There is also a pottery workshop at the Handicraft Centre.<\/p>

People in the T\u00f5stamaa area have long had a sustainability-oriented mindset, following zero-waste principles. Each bridal tassel and knitting bag is unique and made from fabric scraps \u2013 yarns and needles were once stored in the knitting needle bag, but today it can also be used as a handbag.<\/p>

Located in the heart of T\u00f5stamaa, the manor is one of the most magnificent and best- preserved manor houses in P\u00e4rnu County. Walking through the beautifully restored manor rooms and admiring the wall and ceiling paintings, one can get an impression of what life in the manor used to be like. If these walls and ceilings could talk, they would surely tell vivid stories accumulated over hundreds of years.<\/p>

Today, the manor houses a school and a museum. There are also concerts and theatre performances, offering a great opportunity to enjoy cultural experiences in an unusual setting. A slow moment in Kastna Village<\/h3>

On the coast of T\u00f5stamaa in Kastna Village, the Aeglane Hetk (Slow Moment) honey and experience farm is where you can slow down for a moment and enjoy the calm rhythm of a coastal village. Here, nature, bees, and the joy of hands-on creation come together. By prior booking, you can visit the bee garden with a beekeeper, learn about the unique life of bees and bee colonies, taste honey, and buy locally produced honey products.<\/p>

Aeglane Hetk also offers workshops. In the beeswax candle-making workshop, you can create a natural beeswax candle that burns slowly and carries a delicate scent of honey. In the \u201cHoney into the jar” workshop, you can take part in the journey of honey from the honeycomb to the jar \u2013 extracting, filtering, and jarring the honey yourself before taking both fresh honey and the experience home with you. Here, you can also make traditional reed decorations. Something made with your own hands will remain a lovely reminder of the time well spent and also makes a wonderful gift.<\/p>

Discover the nearby nature:<\/strong> About 1.6 kilometres from Aeglane Hetk Farm, along the coast, there is an observation tower offering beautiful views of the coastal meadow, juniper groves, the sea, and, on clear days, even Kihnu Island. Near the observation tower stand the ancient Kastna oaks, whose mighty trunks and broad crowns reflect the grandeur of nature. Lake T\u00f5hela is the shallowest lake in Estonia \u2013 its maximum recorded depth is only 1.5 metres. The lake is home to many fish, and waterfowl nest along its shores. Here you can relax in harmony with nature. Take a walk in nature, then go for a boat ride on the lake, and spend the evening enjoying the lake views.<\/p>

On the shore of Lake T\u00f5hela, Paadipesa offers accommodation for caravans and tents, as well as overnight stays in the campsite or rooms in the main house. From Paadipesa, you can rent catamaran-type boats to cruise around the lake and go fishing. As evening arrives, guests can relax with a barbecue, a sauna, and a massage.<\/p>

The mirror-smooth Lake Ermistu, and Ermistu Holiday Village<\/h3>

Lake Ermistu is the largest lake in P\u00e4rnu County and in Western Estonia. The lake is home to many fish, and its mirror-smooth surface, surrounded by forests, creates a feeling of being slightly removed from the rest of the world.<\/p>

Located by the lake, Ermistu Holiday Village is a favourite destination for nature lovers, families, and anglers. The holiday village offers accommodation in camping cabins as well as in the main house. There are saunas, showers, and a shared kitchen.<\/p>

You can rent rowing boats and motorboats from the holiday village to go out on the lake for fishing or to admire the peat islands. A picturesque small island \u2013 Manilaid<\/h3>

A visit to T\u00f5stamaa does not have to be limited to the mainland. A short boat ride away lies the small Manija Island, or Manilaid, where life moves at a different island rhythm.<\/p>

Manija Island is about five kilometres long and, in places, only half a kilometre wide. On Manija, you can enjoy the refreshing sea breeze, admire the island\u2019s unique nature, watch migratory birds arrive, and see Scottish Highland cattle and sheep grazing on coastal meadows.<\/p>

To get to Manija Island, head to Munalaiu Harbour, from where scheduled boats and ferries depart at set times. Upon arriving on Manija Island, head towards Riida Tourism Farm, which is about a 2.5-kilometre walk from the harbour. By prior order, the farm offers dishes made from locally raised beef and lamb, and of course, freshly caught local fish is also available. Accommodation is available in barn rooms, a sauna house, camping areas, and the main house.<\/p>

On Manija Island, there is a seasonal museum that operates by prior booking, where you can learn more about the island\u2019s traditions of seal hunting and fishing, which have been part of local life for generations. You can also purchase local products and handicrafts at the museum.
