Thanks to the shallow and rapidly warming water of P\u00e4rnu Bay, P\u00e4rnu Beach is an excellent place for bathing. On warm summer days, the temperature at P\u00e4rnu Beach may even rise to 30 degrees. <strong>Set in 2010, the record water temperature at P\u00e4rnu Beach is 33 \u00b0C!<\/strong><\/p><p>The coastline of P\u00e4rnu is nearly 2 kilometres long, which means that there is room for everyone. The area around the Beach House is the most popular. The area guarded by lifeguards stretches from the Side Street extension to Ladies\u2019 Beach. Lifeguards provide parents with wristbands for children, on which they can write their telephone number.<\/p><p>The flags flying from lifeguard towers provide information on swimming conditions:<\/p><ul><li>A <strong>red flag<\/strong> is a warning that swimming is dangerous for everyone (cold water, poor weather conditions, algae or other pollution).<\/li><li>Small children, the elderly, and poor swimmers should not enter the water under a <strong>yellow flag<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Swimming is okay for everyone under a <strong>green flag<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul><h2><strong>Activities on the beach<\/strong><\/h2><p>In addition to enjoying the gorgeous sandy beach, there are a lot of other things to do at P\u00e4rnu Beach. There is a large playground at the beach with swings for children, and a small ice cream caf\u00e9 operates on the playground. Attractions have also been placed on the sandy beach, including a trampoline and a mini-golf course. It is also possible to rent bicycles, scooters, mini-cars, and other means of transportation on the beach.<\/p><p>Surfing is one of the most popular ways to enjoy an active holiday at P\u00e4rnu Beach. <strong>Thanks to warm and shallow water and a good sandy bottom, P\u00e4rnu Beach is the best beach for new surfers in Scandinavia.<\/strong> There are surf clubs located at the end of the P\u00e4rnu Side Street extension which offer a number of different opportunities for getting involved with surfing. <strong>During the summer, the surf clubs organise various exciting events and concerts.<\/strong><\/p><h2><strong>Food and drink<\/strong><\/h2><p>The closest restaurants to the beach are the Steffani Beach Restaurant, the Hedon Spa and Hotel\u2019s restaurants\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/visitparnu.com\/en\/objekt\/restaurant-resto-akord\/\">Akord<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/visitparnu.com\/en\/objekt\/restaurant-raimond\/\">Raimond<\/a>, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/visitparnu.com\/en\/objekt\/cafe-statka-resto-in-rannastaadion\/\">caf\u00e9 \u2018Statka Resto\u2019 at the Beach Stadium<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/visitparnu.com\/en\/objekt\/rannahotell-restaurant\/\">restaurant of Rannahotell<\/a>. During the summer season, various pop-up kiosks and small outdoor caf\u00e9s sell ice cream, drinks, light meals, and other refreshing things. You will not go hungry at the beach, and paying by bank card is possible in most places.<\/p><p>Among the new eateries, Oaas, a Mediterranean style beach caf\u00e9 with a beautiful view of the sea and a fountain, has been opened on the extension of Kuuse Street. On the extension of Side Street, the beach <a href=\"https:\/\/visitparnu.com\/en\/objekt\/poko-restaurant-in-parnu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">restaurant POKO<\/a> is open, with a menu including pizzas with natural leaven, seafood, local fish, summer sushi and salads, as well as cocktails, of course.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-63f615a e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"63f615a\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dd2b6d6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"dd2b6d6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2><strong>Parking at P\u00e4rnu Beach<\/strong><\/h2><p>Paid parking is in effect at P\u00e4rnu\u2019s official car parks and on its streets.<\/p><h3>Beach area from 1 May to 31 August<\/h3><ul><li>Mon\u2013Sun (including national and public holidays) 8 a.m.\u20137 p.m.<\/li><li>1 hour \u2013 5 euros<\/li><li>24 hours \u2013 25 euros<\/li><li>first 30 minutes free of charge<\/li><li>the ticket is also valid for the same period in the Old Town and City Centre area<\/li><li>area designation for mobile parking: PRAND30 (first 30 minutes free of charge)<\/li><\/ul><h3>Beach area from 1 September to 30 April<\/h3><ul><li>Mon\u2013Sat (except national and public holidays) 8 am\u20137 pm; Sun: free of charge<\/li><li>1 hour \u2013 1 euro<\/li><li>24 hours \u2013 5 euros<\/li><li>first 60 minutes free of charge<\/li><li>the ticket is also valid for the same period in the City Centre area<\/li><li>area designation for mobile parking: PRAND60 (first 60 minutes free of charge)<\/li><\/ul><p>Parking tickets can be purchased from parking meters, the R-kiosk at the bus station (Pikk 13), P\u00e4rnu City Government (Suur-Sepa 16) and the information desk of the Beach Stadium (Ranna pst 2).<\/p><p>You can also pay for parking in the city\u2019s parking area using the\u00a0<strong>Pargi.ee or Flowbird parking app<\/strong>.<\/p><p>SMS parking is only possible if you are a customer of an Estonian mobile operator.<\/p><p><strong>In addition to official car parks, there are a number of private car parks in the beach area. Make sure to follow information boards and traffic signs describing the regulation of parking.<\/strong><\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/visitparnu.com\/en\/parking-in-parnu\/\">Read more about parking in P\u00e4rnu.<\/a><\/p><h2>Good to know<\/h2><p>Toilets are located in the P\u00e4rnu Beach House, behind the Steffani Beach Restaurant, and by P\u00e4rnu\u2019s surf centres.<\/p><p>In addition to the sandy beach, the P\u00e4rnu Beach Promenade \u2013 winding its way from the Beach House to the surf centres at the end of P\u00e4rnu Beach \u2013 is a beautiful place for a walk, no matter the season. Located between the city centre and the beach is Beach Park, where it is nice to walk or ride a bicycle.
