XII Reuse Exhibition GIVE NEW LIFE
The reuse exhibition GIVE NEW LIFE is taking place for the twelfth time at the Museum of New Art, with the subtheme ROOTS this year.
As far as we feel or know the skills and knowledge of our ancestors, that's how far we can unconsciously travel with our skills and memories. Each of us already carries their heritage subconsciously.
Likewise, roots are what nourish us and through which we draw ever-new ideas and knowledge.
Sometimes roots can intertwine with others, and from this symbiosis something truly powerful and new is born.
The participating artists have allowed themselves to be seriously inspired by the subtheme. Hence, you can see Christmas crowns created from old books, a wall painting from a clothes chest lid found on the beach, mandalas and folk patterns from bottle caps, jewelry from coffee grounds, and much more. Special attention is given to climate change, for example, solutions have been found for sledges and beliefs in the absence of snow.
Many works are created from production residues or crafts leftovers.
