We invite you on Saturday, April 5th to Martens Square, where for the first time the OPENING PARTY OF THE PÄRNU SMELT FESTIVAL will take place!  

This day full of taste experiences and traditions takes place together with Pärnu Day - bringing together local life, good food, and a sea-inspired atmosphere.

Why does the smelt deserve a festival named after it, especially in Pärnu?
This fish with a small silvery body is most abundant in the Pärnu waters in spring and its special fresh cucumber smell makes it legendary among fishermen and gourmets!
