THE COLOR OF THE YEAR IS MULTICOLORED

The Estonian Textile Artists' Union Annual Exhibition 2024

07.12.2024 - 02.03.2025

Opening on December 6th at 16:00

Colors have power and strength both individually and in multitude, it all depends on the combination and harmony. Bright and dull, intense and restrained, the choice between opposites is always different. Harmonious and controlled alone, sometimes it all comes together into a real kaleidoscope! The same is true for the artists participating in the exhibition - the contrast and strength of coexistence is revealed in the joint exhibition. The Estonian Textile Artists' Union brings together artists with very different positions and creative styles, where textiles are the central material in their work. The annual exhibition of the Estonian Textile Artists' Union, already a tradition, is a highly anticipated event for both participants and the public. The exhibition at the Museum of New Art also highlights the award recipients of the year - the recognition of Texas Artist of the Year 2023 is awarded to Aet Ollisaar, Young Textile Artist of the Year 2023 is Maria Kristiin Peterson, the recognition for Textile Act of the Year 2023 was awarded to Maryliis Teinfeldt-Grins' community project "Who Remembers Last? Who Remembers Better?", and the jury's special prize for long-term and consistent research and development of textile art was awarded to Kadi Pajupuu.
