Pärnumaa Youth Poetry Slam 2025

On February 5th, 2025, from 13:30 to 16:30, the fourth Pärnumaa youth poetry reading competition, also known as YOUTHS SLAM, will take place in the large hall of Pärnu Central Library. 
Participants will be divided into 3 age groups: ...up to 11 years; 12-15 years; 16-19 years.
Each performer has 3 minutes of performance time, during which they must read 1 to 3 self-created poems. The contestant is only allowed to use their voice and mimicry (they may read from paper or a smartphone). Aids such as costumes, singing, and musical instruments are not allowed. Naturally, it is better if the presented text is memorized.
Performers will be judged by a jury. The audience also gives feedback with applause, the strength of which is converted into a score that is added to the jury ratings. 
The choice of themes is unlimited and free, and the flight of poetic inspiration cannot be hindered!

The competition will award the 3 best slammers in each age group with prizes. There are also 1-2 special prizes in each age group.
The best young authors-performers will be sent to the national youth poetry slam, which will take place in Tartu on February 20th, 2025.
