Pärnu Day

Pärnu Day was first held on April 24, 2011, marking the city's 760th birthday.
In the first two years, Pärnu Day was on Easter, as it was in the year 1265 that the master of the Livonian branch of the Teutonic Order, Conrad v. Mandern, issued a privilege granting the city land from the castle to the sea, up to the mouth of the Reiu River.
Since 2014, Pärnu Day has been on April 5. If April 5 falls on a weekday, the city's day is celebrated the following weekend.
