The Estonian Folk Art and Craft Union has chosen traditional clothing as the theme for 2024 and 2025.
The exhibition "New is the Forgotten Old" presents both rare domestic heritage items and new, recreated traditional clothing.
Did you know that the striped folk skirt of the Tõstamaa parish was actually pleated?
That gowns and costumes can be found in private collections as well as in museums?
What is a kopsmüts? What does a white jacket from the Lihula area look like and how was it worn?

The exhibition opens at the Exhibition Room of Tõstamaa Handicraft Store on 23.11.2024 at 12:00 (address Sadama tee 1, Tõstamaa).
The exhibition will be open until 21.12.2024.

Come to the exhibition and get answers to these and many other questions!
