Museum Night "There is a Book in the Night"

This year marks the 500th anniversary of the publication of the first Estonian-language book, and this year's Museum Night is dedicated to the Year of the Estonian Book, titled "There is a Book in the Night." Seljametsa Museum has planned several wonderful activities for the Museum Night, all related in some way to literature and books.

The Museum Night program includes:

¤ A play titled "Stuck in a Book" performed by the children of the Seljametsa Theatre Studio

¤ Awarding the title of Seljametsa Museum Friend 2024

¤ A conversation evening with writer and poet CONTRA

¤ Music by the band UKERDAJAD

¤ Participation in a book lottery

¤ Open café (cash payments only)

Exhibitions open:

¤ Paintings by ARS Art Studio

¤ Ceramics by Liivia Koolme

¤ The museum's oldest books and prints (the rarest and oldest being a handwritten music book from 1854)
