Times and prices
15.04.25
On April 15th at 17:00, entrepreneur, traveler, and writer Lauri Räpp will meet with literature enthusiasts in the large hall of Pärnu Central Library.
Lauri Räpp, who defended his master's degree in marketing at the University of Tartu, entered the literary world with the travel book "This Is Not My Cuba" in 2015. In several books, he writes about his hometown Tartu.
He has written lyrics for songs in the repertoires of Jüri Pootsman, Jaagup Tuisk, among others. His poems have been set to music by Mikk Tammepõld and Tõnu Timm; the lyrics for the cycle "Journey," created for Karin Tuul's women’s choir and string orchestra, are also by Lauri Räpp.
Räpp publishes his poetry and reflections not only in published poetry books but also on social media.
"How often do we think,
That light is invisible,
But it gives shape to things.
That in our lives there are those,
Who are like the invisible for us,
But shape us
To be such,
As we have become.
To be someone's light.
Unselfishly.
Even when it hurts.
Even when hardly
Holding together."
Meeting evenings are free of charge. You are welcome!
