Lonitseera is an Estonian alt-pop ensemble which came together in 2019. The band’s main composer is Kaisa Kuslapuu. In 2022, the ensemble issued its début album “Tapeet”, which won the Best Author’s Song Album award at the Estonian Music Awards the following year. Now the ensemble is joining forces with the VHK String Orchestra and Rasmus Puur whose arrangements add new layers to Kuslapuu’s own work.
The “Tapeet” début album by Lonitseera is a collection of great alt-pop ballads as created by Kaisa Kuslapuu, who may well be the best composer of Estonian music since Vaiko Eplik. This late-developing talented musician studied to become an organist and only took a liking to songwriting three years ago, but he already has an unreal talent for creating melodies which remain with anyone who hears them for weeks afterwards.
