On Wednesday, March 12 at 18:00, Viivi Luik and literary scholar Aija Sakova will be visiting.
Viivi Luik (born 1946) is an internationally recognized Estonian poet, prose writer, and essayist. Her work has long had a significant impact on the self-awareness and self-belief of Estonians. She has received prestigious literary and cultural awards, including the National Thought Award presented by the University of Tartu, and she is a recipient of the Order of the White Star, III class. As the wife of writer and diplomat Jaak Jõerüüt, Viivi has lived in several European countries, as well as the USA.
