Andrus Kivirähk "Isamaa Pääsukesed"
Director Aarne Soro

“Isamaa Pääsukesed” is a comedy by Andrus Kivirähk, which combines sharp humor with the handling of real-life issues.
The action takes place in the cultural center of a small village with a leaky roof and broken toilet, where five active women operate. The dedicated theater troupe leader, Pilvi, has written a musical about brave schoolboys going to the War of Independence for the country’s birthday. Unfortunately, not much has changed in Estonian life since then: if back then men were reluctant to go to war, now they are reluctant to perform in a play.
