In the Music Club: Guitarist Marek Talts

On March 27 at 17.00, Marek Talts will meet with music enthusiasts in the large hall of Pärnu Central Library.
 

Guitarist and guitar teacher Marek Talts, who hails from Pärnu and is well known to Pärnu music lovers, writes about himself:

"I started playing the guitar at the age of 11 under the guidance of my stepbrother Jaanus. During my high school studies, I realized that I wanted to continue my guitar studies at the Georg Ots Music School in Tallinn. In addition, I have also studied guitar at the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy, where I currently work as a lecturer.
I have taught guitar at the Pärnu School of Arts and Pärnu Music School, as well as in several general education schools in Pärnu.
I have had longer collaborations with singers Liisi Koikson and Hanna-Liina Võsa, and with the folk music ensemble Ro:Toro. In 2020, I released my first solo album “Abstract Dance” featuring free improvisations and original compositions.  A new album, consisting of arrangements of Christian worship songs for solo guitar, will be released soon."
