NEGOTIATIONS
At the Pärnu Museum of New Art
 
Negotiations are taking place between two seemingly different art forms. One is transparent and the other mostly not. In this exhibition, glass artists and graphic artists have in some cases ventured into each other's domains. Here, as it turns out, there is also common ground: the process of glass and graphics does not always submit to the will of the author or does so in unpredictable ways. A work of art first meets its creator when it emerges from the furnace, acid bath, printing press, or elsewhere where chemistry and physics often surpass humanity. Achieving understanding in the human world is also quite a complex dynamic.
The situations that an artist encounters in life are often uncontrollable.
All this chaos organizes and settles within its boundaries in the exhibition hall on the first floor of the Museum of New Art. The exhibition conceptually and formally continues the first joint event "Kujuta" held at the ARS project space in 2024.
