At Pärnu Concert Hall
March 2025
Official opening during the FotoFest opening rally on March 5th at 18:00
Everything in the world is interconnected. Everywhere there are connections or bridges - bridges as binders of system elements. Connections and links are constantly renewed, expanded, and create a whole as a functioning organism – life. Bridges are a sign of functional life and development.
What impedes development is dismantled, repaired, enhanced, or a more suitable new one is built. What is created is maintained because even a functional bridge or one not in use wears out and deteriorates. Only one connection creates dependency. Healthy development and growth are connected with the creation, maintenance, and development of a whole/system through multiple connections, contacts, relations, and links. This is how a city and a country grow, how a person develops, how a family functions, how friendships change, and how humanity as a whole evolves. This is how every living being, natural communities, the entire Earth, or even the world is in constant change and creation.
The theme selection for Pärnu Photo Club's annual exhibition comes from Henn Soodla. Photos of different bridges from Pärnu, nearby areas, and distant corners of the world are displayed.
The meaning you create for a picture depends on you. When a thought connection is created, you have built a bridge between yourself and the author of the picture – both of you are creators.
