FINAL CONCERT-THOUGHT JOURNEY IN PÄRNU

"Late Night Meditation with Bach"

🥁 Tanel-Eiko Novikov (marimba, Yamaha artist)

💡 Alice Pehk (Doctor of Music Therapy).

Program includes Bach's solo pieces on marimba:

Cello Suite No. 6 in C Major,

Violin Sonata No. 1 in G Minor

💭 Tanel Eiko Novikov: “This allows the juxtaposition of two contrasting musical cycles in a soundscape, creating a special and magical atmosphere with marimba.”

✨ The unique format of the concert - entering a state of expanded consciousness under the guidance of a music therapist, the audience on bean bags. The uniqueness of the concerts: to listen and discover oneself through music, which also provides an opportunity to relieve stress and enhance self-awareness - supporting mental health.

Additionally, such a program helps bring Baroque music closer to those less familiar with classical music.

💭 Alice Pehk: “Music is a mirror. The images, feelings, and thoughts that music evokes in us tell us about ourselves, about what is happening inside us. By listening to ourselves through music, something may open up for us that we have kept hidden or have not been able or wanted to see in ourselves.”

The event is enjoyable both as a concert and raises awareness about the use of music for mental health.

🙏🏻 In collaboration with Viljandi Art School, watercolor paintings by local art school students will be created at the concert-thought journeys.
