The Children's and Youth Dance Festival KOOLITANTS is back!
Koolitants returns this spring to spotlight dance as an art form and to remind everyone that the joy of dance is accessible and enriching for all!
Koolitants dance days will take place in 2025 in two stages.
Concerts of county dance days will be held from February 1 to March 17 in Kuressaare, Rakvere, Pärnu, Tallinn, Viljandi, Valga, Võru, and Tartu, with gala final concerts taking place at the beginning of May at the Paide Music and Theatre House.
We will once again travel across Estonia, bringing the stages of concert and theatre halls to life with dance and engaging the audiences!
Choreographers for the dance day concerts are Oliver Reimann and Aaron Thor Härm.
The jury for Koolitants 2025 county dance days includes Tiina Ollesk, Sandra Põld, and Juulius Vaiksoo. Additionally, the youth jury, trained by the Estonian Youth Dance Association, will award special prizes at the county dance days.
From each county dance day concert, the dance receiving the most SMS votes from the local audience will proceed to the audience's favorite selection on the TV6 television show.
In the TV show, the Koolitants 2025 audience favorite will be the dance receiving the most votes. The show will use recordings from the county dance days.
Price and number always the same: 15330 - €0.99
Write the dance's sequence number in the SMS (and nothing else).
Guests will see bright excerpts of professional dance productions on stage, offering inspiration to both young dancers and the audience:
Dance MENU / “Field” / Maria Uppin-Sarv, Valeria Tagel (at concerts starting at 3 pm in Kuressaare and Rakvere, and at concerts starting at 12 pm in Tallinn and Tartu I dance day)
The production takes the viewer to fields of accompanying beauty. A journey where beauty, happiness, and joy manifest as side effects of a bad situation, offering support and helping sustain hope.
Dance MENU / “Rhythmus” / Allar Valge (at concerts starting at 12 pm in Pärnu, Harjumaa, and Viljandi)
“Rhythmus” presents various aspects of legendary tap dancers' performances from a hundred years ago and explores the world of anxiety disorders through the prism of tap dance.
Dance MENU / “Change” / Igor Lider (at concerts starting at 6 pm in Viljandi and Tartu II dance day)
The dance production “Change” invites the viewer into an exciting world of street dance.
Dance MENU / “Soledad” / Ingrid Mugu (at concerts starting at 6 pm in Pärnu, Harjumaa, and Tallinn)
In a production where flamenco culture meets contemporary dance, the journey traverses various stages and moods of solitude.
Fine5 Dance Theatre / “Here Behind the Eyes” / Tiina Ollesk, Renee Nõmmik (at the concert starting at 6 pm on Tartu I dance day)
A Fine5 Dance Theatre production where the visible and invisible world wants to intertwine and unfold before the audience in choreographic form in spacetime.
“Chains” / Maria Solei Järvet (at the concert starting at 12 pm in Võru)
How to let things be part of our lives, not dictate our lives?
“Watercolor” / Maria Solei Järvet (at concerts starting at 7 pm in Valga and 6 pm in Võru)
A short piece about transient traces that appear when a brush touches the surface of the water.
Final concerts will feature ETA Company with members Marko Reitalu, Daniela Privis, Juulius Vaiksoo, and Mariann Onkel.
