"Important events that ensured military victory in the War of Independence"

Lecturer of military history and strategic planning at the Baltic Defence College, Art Johanson

The lecture discusses the major changes and influences that impacted the War of Independence. Firstly: how did Estonia manage to form one of the most powerful military forces in the region and what contributed to this? Topics covered include the decisions of the Red Army, which indirectly gave Estonia time to catch its breath. Additionally, the lecture will address the Estonian state's ability to turn events in its favor in the Landeswehr War and the events of autumn 1919, which facilitated negotiations with Soviet Russia for the recognition of Estonia's independence.
