Estlager Trio presents "In Search of Village Musicians"

Spring is here - put on your sunglasses, grab your instruments - our tour is arriving in PÄRNUMAA!

The party starts on April 4th at 19:00 at the Audru Cultural Center.

 

Henrik Hinrikus on the accordion, Tanel Sakrits on the mandola, and Juhan Suits on the bagpipes and other wind instruments – Estlager Trio – are committed to finding village musicians/community musicians in Estonian villages who are not yet known to the wider public.

The ensemble kindly and bravely asks everyone to share hints about musicians who meet the description above. No obligations will be imposed on anyone, and even those who are not interested in public attention would still be very welcome – who knows what ideas might develop from there.

The tour concludes with a concert at the XXXII Viljandi Traditional Music Festival, where the entire tour's results will be showcased.

The "In Search of Village Musicians" initiative has been inspired by the August Pulst scholarship from the Estonian Traditional Music Centre. The tour is also supported by the Estonian Cultural Endowment.
