City Birdwatching Day
Times and prices
30.03.25
The Estonian Ornithological Society invites you to observe the arriving migratory birds in cities on the last Sunday of March to draw attention to urban biodiversity.
Everyone interested can participate in the City Birdwatching Day alone or in teams of up to six members. Observations should be made in a city of your choice on March 30th between 5 a.m. and 1 p.m., recording all seen and heard bird species.
By Sunday 6:00 p.m., the list of observed bird species, the names of the team members, and the name of the city where observations were made should be sent to the event coordinator Tarvo Valker at tarvo.valker@eoy.ee.
Participation rules and the form for submitting observations can be found on the Ornithological Society's website eoy.ee/linnade-linnuvaatlus.
Based on the timely submitted observation data, the Ornithological Society will determine this year's city with the highest bird diversity.
