Colorful autumn is the most beautiful season in Estonian bogs. We will take you to Soomaa National Park, Lindi, Tolkuse and Rääma Bogs on a bogshoe (snowshoe) hike to pick cranberries!
In September-October, cranberries ripen in the bog—they are one of Estonia's superfoods! Estonians value this berry as a natural medicine against many diseases and love to use it in both sweet and savory dishes. Since cranberries like to grow near wet bogs, it is best to pick them with bogshoes and a guide.
